Falls Police Blotter: Inept Check Forger; Minivan Vendetta; and iPhone Thief

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated June 14-15. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man living on the 2400 block of Front Street said someone swiped and forged three of his checks, amounting to $1,150 in losses. Good news is, the dim-witted crook deposited the stolen checks in another account. Police are investigating. The man intends to press charges.

Minivan vendetta

Someone teed off on a man’s minivan early Friday morning on the 2200 block of Front Street. The owner told a vandal smashed a back taillight, knocked off a side view mirror and pounded several dents into the body of the car. Estimated damage: $1,000.

A woman reported Thursday that a thief had nabbed her daughter’s Apple iPhone 4S. Where’s Siri when you need her? Estimated loss: $600.
