Falls Police Blotter: Gunpoint Death Threat; Foiled Play Money Plot; and Crafty Fuel Theft

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated July 25-26. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man called on Thursday afternoon to report someone had allegedly held a gun to his 20-year-old son’s face and threatened to shoot him. According to the police report, the unidentified gunman brandished the pistol and demanded the young man accept cocaine from him. The incident reportedly occurred on July 14. The man wasn’t injured and doesn’t wish to press charges.

Foiled play money plot

A signaled his manager on Wednesday night after a man walked into the Graham Road gas station and attempted to buy cigarettes with play money. The thief quickly realized the jig was up and fled the store.

Gasoline go-getter

On Thursday, a woman living on the 4100 block of Americana Drive called police after a crafty crook drilled a hole in the gas tank of her brand new SUV and drained all the fuel from it. Estimated damage: $360.
