Falls Police Blotter: Aggravated Trespassing; Natatorium Theft; and Local Crime Stopper

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Aug. 7-9. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Aug. 7, a resident living along the 1600 block of 23rd Street hurriedly dialed 9-1-1 after an unknown person began smashing his first floor windows. According to the homeowner, the suspect verbally threatened to assault him and attempted to break his door down. However, the suspect fled before arrived. Total damage: $500.

Watchful neighbor halts theft 

At 1 p.m. on Aug. 8, an observant resident called police after watching a thief stroll up his neighbor’s driveway on the 400 block of Taylor Avenue. The man tried to leave the property with boating supplies, fishing poles and a tackle box, but was confronted by the diligent neighbor. The thief set down the stolen items,valued at $500, and fled before police arrived.

Natatorium theft

A woman called police on Aug. 8 after realizing someone had stolen her $700 Trek bicycle from the bike racks situated on the east side of the . There are no leads or suspects.

Goodie bag

A woman reported on Aug. 9 that someone swiped a backpack from her 23rd Street residence. The bag contained 40 DVD’s, stereo supplies and prescription medications. Total loss: $400.
