Falls Police Blotter: Woman Reports $4,000 in Stolen Jewels

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated June 22. It does not indicate a conviction.

A woman called just after midnight on Friday to report that someone had swiped $4,000 worth of jewelry from her home while she was out of town. According to the police report, there were no signs of forced entry and the police are investigating whether a houseguest stole the valuable items from the Davis Avenue residence.

TV burglary

On Friday, a thief slipped into a man’s house on the 1100 block of Munroe Falls Avenue and nabbed two TVs valued at 4700. The homeowner reported there were no signs of forced entry.

Fuel Bandit

A woman living on the 2000 block of Issaquah Street said a thief entered her unlocked garage and syphoned $30 worth of gas from her car’s tank on Friday night. The woman said she’ll press charges if the fuel bandit is caught.
