Falls Blotter: Water Works Theft; Hungry Car Thief; and Daytime Burglary

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls police reports, dated June 12-13. It does not indicate a conviction.

On Wednesday afternoon, a woman called , saying someone had broken into her car parked on the 1400 block of Julian Street. According to her repot, the thief stole a personal check and a bag of Fritos from the car. The check was drawn on her FirstMerit bank account. The Fritos were valued at $1.

Water Works theft

A man reported his son’s gym bag had been stolen from the sometime Wednesday. The Nike bag contained a cell phone, wallet, cash and miscellaneous items. Estimated loss: $820.

Hide your jewelry

A woman reported Tuesday that a burglar slipped into her Ninth Street residence and made off with several pieces of jewelry. Estimated loss: $2,000.
