Drug Overdose; Stolen Handgun; and Costly Burglary: Crime Blotter

Time for a lifestyle change

On June 25, a 34-year-old Brunswick man reportedly overdosed on drugs and was found unconscious on a bathroom floor in the 2200 block of 9th Street. Cuyahoga Falls EMS treated the man and transported him to Summa Western Reserve Hospital.

Police found a syringe, a burnt spoon and a lighter in the bathroom.

The man was charged with possession of drug abuse instruments, a first-degree misdemeanor. 

Entertainment shortage

On June 24, an unknown number of burglars reportedly broke into a home in the 2100 block of 23rd Street and stole two flatscreen TVs and a laptop.

Total loss: $3,200. 

Dude, where's my wallet?

An Akron woman lost her social security card, birth certificate and $200 in cash after a thief reportedly shattered her driver's side window and stole her wallet. 

The theft occurred in the 400 block of Howe Avenue in the Olive Garden parking lot.

Police have two suspects, but there were no witnesses. 

Missing handgun

A black Ruger .380 handgun was reportedly stolen from a resident's car in the 1500 block of Bridgeview Circle on June 21.

the loaded gun is valued at $400.
