Driver Hospitalized, Cited Following Unusual Car Accident

Martin P. Rotunda, 65, of Cuyahoga Falls, was taken to Akron City Hospital for unspecified injuries on Saturday after hitting a garage, a fence and a house in his sedan.

A Broad Boulevard man was injured after an accident that started in his own driveway and ended in his neighbor's yard. 

According to , Martin P. Rotunda, 65, of 1230 Broad Blvd., was heading up his driveway at 2:12 p.m. Saturday, when he missed his garage and drove behind his house. Then the car crashed through a fence and grazed the corner of a neighbor's garage at 1240 Broad Blvd.

He was taken by an ambulance to Akron City Hospital for unspecified injuries, said police Sgt. Michael Heinl.

His condition is unknown at this time.

No one inside the 13th Street residence was injured.

Rotunda, who was driving a Hyundai Accent, was cited with failure to control.
