Hard lesson

A 35-year-old Canton man learned the hard way never to leave property in an unlocked gym locker.

While the man worked out at the Riverfront Family YMCA on May 4, a thief opened his locker, stole his keys, entered his car and swiped his cash and credit card.

The thief then went on a $2,300 spending spree.

There are no leads or suspects.
