Driver Found With Heroin, Cocaine, Syringes; Thief Goes on Spending Spree: Crime Blotter

Smash and grab
On May 6 at 8:44 a.m., the owner of Studio Eleven -- located at 1714 Portage Trail -- contacted police after someone smashed through her door and entered the business while it was closed.
The thief reportedly stole cash from a register and fled, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report.

Robert L. Bauer, 42, of Cuyahoga Falls, was hit with a pair of felonies on May 4 after police found heroin, cocaine, a burnt spoon and syringes in his car during a routine traffic stop, according to a police report.
Bauer was charged with drug possession, a fifth-degree felony; drunken driving, a first-degree misdemeanor; and drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor.
He was also cited for an open container, traffic violations and drug paraphernalia.
Hard lesson
A 35-year-old Canton man learned the hard way never to leave property in an unlocked gym locker.
While the man worked out at the Riverfront Family YMCA on May 4, a thief opened his locker, stole his keys, entered his car and swiped his cash and credit card.
The thief then went on a $2,300 spending spree.
There are no leads or suspects.
