Teenager Arrested for Alleged Armed Robbery of Falls Woman

Love, 17, of Akron, was charged with aggravated robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal weapon possession.

Derek Love, 17, of Akron, was arrested Monday in connection with last week's .

Love is being held at Summit County Jail on charges of aggravated robbery, carrying a concealed weapon and illegal weapon possession, reports the Akron Beacon Journal.

His arrest came days after the Akron Police Department released a video of the gunpoint robbery, which was captured by an ATM camera. According to police, he had a .25 caliber pistol tucked in his pants pocket at the time of his arrest.

The holdup occurred on May 15 at 12:10 a.m. after a group of men approached the Falls woman at a FirstMerit ATM, located at 1060 Kenmore Blvd. in Akron.

Love allegedly pulled a gun, pointed it at her head and demanded her purse, containing $20, cigarettes and car keys.

After stealing the contents, he threw the handbag down and fled.
