Daytime Burglary; Dine and Ditch; Menacing Neighbors; and Violent Ex-Girlfriend

The following was culled from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports dated Sept. 15-17. It does not indicate a conviction.

Violent ex

On Sept. 15 at 3 a.m., a Falls man called police and reported he had been hit in the head with a beer bottle after an argument with an estranged girlfriend. When officers arrived to the 14th Street residence, they observed a knot on his forehead. An ambulance was called to treat the man. Due to his intoxicated state, he was referred to the Prosecutor’s Office to sort out the matter.

A resident called Cuyahoga Falls Police on the evening of Sept. 15 after realizing someone had burglarized her home located on the 800 block of Hardy Road. A .22 caliber revolver, tear gas pistol, two flat screen TVs and money were taken from the house. Estimated loss: $2,200. There are no leads or suspects.

An Eat’n Park employee reported a customer left the restaurant on Sept. 16 without paying for his dinner, valued at $7. Police tracked the man down, and he eventually admitted to the dine-and-ditch. He was cited for theft.

Criminal damaging

A resident living on the 1200 block of Gaylan Drive reported a disturbance on Sept. 17 after someone cut out the screen to his sliding door, lit off firecrackers next to his fiancee's car and posted a sign on his front door demanding that the couple move out of the house. The man intends to press charges if the menacing neighbors are caught.
