David A. Dougherty, 41, of Cuyahoga Falls, faces two felony charges in connection with Saturday's pipe bomb seizure on Washington Ave.

David A. Dougherty, 41, of Cuyahoga Falls, was arrested Saturday after the Summit County Bomb Squad found five pipe bombs and bomb making materials in his home, located at 1116 Washington Ave.

Once the bomb squad removed the makeshift explosives, “(Cuyahoga Falls) patrol officers and detectives executed a search warrant at the residence. (They) collected evidence, which included chemicals, and a small marijuana grow operation,” said Guldeman.

Dougherty was taken to an area hospital, treated and released into police custody.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges may be filed.
