The driver of the car that struck Dalchuk, Garrett M. Janos of Cuyahoga Falls, told police Dalchuk was lying on the road when his vehicle ran over Dalchuk. Janos passed a field sobriety test and Breathalyzer test with a blood-alcohol content reading of .062 percent, which is below the .08 percent threshold considered to be driving under the influence.

No charges have been filed, and an investigation continues. The Summit Metro Crash Response Team and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Investigator have been summoned to the case. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.
