Update: Cuyahoga Falls Man Struck, Killed by Car
Victim pronounced dead at scene on Theiss Road early Thursday morning.
A Cuyahoga Falls man died early Thursday morning after being struck by a northbound vehicle on Theiss Road.
Timothy Dalchuk, 32, of Woodhaven Drive was fatally struck by a car while on Theiss Road at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, the Summit County Medical Examiner's office said.
Dalchuk was apparently lying on Theiss Road when he was struck by the vehicle, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police press release. He was pronounced dead at 2:27 a.m. by Cuyahoga Falls EMS.

The driver of the car that struck Dalchuk, Garrett M. Janos of Cuyahoga Falls, told police Dalchuk was lying on the road when his vehicle ran over Dalchuk. Janos passed a field sobriety test and Breathalyzer test with a blood-alcohol content reading of .062 percent, which is below the .08 percent threshold considered to be driving under the influence.
No charges have been filed, and an investigation continues. The Summit Metro Crash Response Team and the Summit County Medical Examiner's Investigator have been summoned to the case. An autopsy has been scheduled for Thursday.
