Falls Man Pronounced Dead After Suspected Heroin Overdose

Suspected overdose

A Studio City resident called 911 May 3 at 1:58 a.m. after finding Shane Stott, 42, of Cuyahoga Falls, unconscious in her apartment. 

Stott was rushed to Summa Western Reserve Hospital and pronounced dead at 2:32 a.m., according to a police report.

The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office is still waiting on the toxicology report to determine the official cause of death.

Cuyahoga Falls Police Lt. Steve Guldeman said an initial investigation has led detectives to suspect Stott died from a heroin overdose.

Barnstorming

On May 1, a West Bath Road resident contacted Cuyahoga Falls police after someone broke into his barn and stole a pair of air compressors.

Total loss: $530.

The man intends to prosecute if an arrest is made. 

Nat theft

A Natatorium member called police after someone reportedly stole $200 from his unlocked locker at the city gym.

There are no leads or suspects.
