Child Pornography Suspect Released From Jail

Steven J. Woods will appear before Stow Municipal Court Judge Kim Hoover on April 12.

Steven J. Woods was released from Summit County Jail on Monday after paying 10 percent (or $10,000) of a $100,000 court bond.

Bond was set during Woods' April 8 arraignment in Stow Municipal Court, according to stowmunicourt.com.

His case will likely be bounded over to the Summit County Court of Common Pleas following Friday's hearing as Stow Municipal Court doesn't prosecute felonies.

Cuyahoga Falls police arrested Woods April 5 after detectives searched his Issaquah Street home and found large amounts of evidence, said Falls Police Sgt. James Singleton.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force alerted Falls police after it suspected Woods was downloading child pornography.
