Here are some of the weirdest police reports and incidents from departments across the region.

Here are this week's most bizarre police reports. All information was provided by police reports from departments in Patch communities. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

SOLON: Solon Detectives Searching For Man Who Tried To Abduct Two Women

Solon Police are investigating two attempted abductions at the Park East Apartments, according to Solon Police.

Police said there will be an increased police presence while detectives investigate the incidents.

On Wednesday, a woman reported that a man tried to grab her and gain entry into her apartment. The woman screamed and the man fled into the woods, according to police.

On Tuesday, police said a 17-year-old girl was standing outside of her apartment at the 34000 block of Park East around 10:15 p.m. April 30 when a man tried to pull her by the arm.

STOW: Catalytic Converter Thieves Target Apartment Complexes

Three motorists are out several hundred dollars after thieves stole the catalytic converter from their car's exhaust.

Drivers whose cars were parked at three separate apartment complexes spread throughout Stow reported thefts of the exhaust component from their cars on the same day.

LAKEWOOD: Babies Spotted on the Roof of Lakewood Home

Babies on the roof? Police received a report of two babies — a 1-year-old and 2-year-old — on the roof of a home in the 1400 block of Newman Avenue at around 7:30 p.m. April 28. Officers spoke with the parents, who said their children were inside the whole time. (Read more Lakewood police reports here.) 

MENTOR: Man Accused of Spitting on Officer

Mentor Police say a drunk man pushed security guard Tuesday afternoon and spit on a police officer.

According to the department's Facebook page, officers responded to calls from Great Lakes Mall about a "belligerent" man who was causing a disturbance in the eastern portion of the mall. Before police arrived, a security guard approached 46-year-old Gerald Stokley of Painesville near Firestone. Police say he pushed the guard and began yelling obscenities.
