Attempted Theft at Giant Eagle, Family Video

Giant Eagle
An employee of on Howe Avenue told police that on July 29, someone filled up a shopping cart with various items, making a perimeter around the cart while leaving a hollowed out center.
In the center of the cart, the man tried to conceal two bags of DVDs. The man left the cart in an aisle across from the exit door and did not leave with any of the stolen items.

The total of all the merchandise in the cart was $706.15.

The manager of on Northmoreland Boulevard told police that on July 30, someone broke into a plastic DVD case in the adult video section of the store and tried to steal the DVDs.
The manager grabbed the DVDs from the man, and he ran out of the store.
