Alleged Speedway Robber Nabbed by Falls Police Detectives

Darrell G. Connell, 26, of Uniontown, was arrested and charged Monday for reportedly robbing the Bailey Road gas station with a fake gun.

was arrested and charged Monday for allegedly robbing a Cuyahoga Falls gas station with a fake gun.  

After working off a pair of strong leads, found and arrested Connell at 1:30 p.m. in Akron, according to a press release.

On July 14 at 11:45 p.m., police say Connell walked into the Speedway gas station, located at 2026 Bailey Rd., with an object wrapped up in a t-shirt, claimed it was a gun and threatened to shoot the clerk if he didn’t hand over the money in the register.

He stole an unknown amount of cash and fled down Bailey Road before police arrived.

He was charged with robbery, a second-degree felony, and was booked into Summit County Jail.
