Akron Man Surrenders After Gunpoint Robbery

Cuyahoga Falls police arrested Allen L. Salter and charged him with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony. A second suspect remains on the loose.

Cuyahoga Falls police have charged Allen L. Salter, 23, of Akron, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred on April 15 at 1061 Clyde Ave.

At about 12:49 a.m., a pair of men entered the apartment, pointed a handgun at the residents and stole their 60-inch flat screen TV, laptop, a digital picture frame and cash, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police Lt. Steve Guldeman.

Guldeman said detectives arrested Salter after he voluntarily turned himself in to police.

He was charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and is in custody at Summit County Jail. 

The investigation is ongoing as police continue their search fof the second suspect.
