BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATION WAS A SUCCESS

Cuyahoga Falls celebrated its bicentennial honoring the past and pressing forward into the future with great success, as citizen we should be thankful.

It is hard to believe that the bicentennial celebration for our great city of Cuyahoga Falls is over.  It was filled with activities worthy to be celebrated...from an opening ceremony reminding us of the Native Americans who lived here before us, with dancers and drums and kayaks going down the falls, to the lighting of the Bicentennial flame and fireworks.   The week had many other events, like a dedication ceremony for the restored historic barn at Keyser Park; there was a grand parade with many from the community participating; and our final day of celebrating concluded with an interfaith worship service and closing ceremony.  The Bicentennial gave us a lot to celebrate and reminded us that we are truly blessed to live in Cuyahoga Falls.

I personally want to thank the Bicentennial Committee who planned all the great events of the celebration and a big thanks goes out to all the fine citizens of our city who participated in the various activities over the past ten days.  May God bless our city!
