Cuyahoga Falls Patch Editor Adds Dad to His Title: Editor's Corner

My daughter, Ava Mae Deike, started her first day on April 28, 2013 at 7:52 p.m.

I mean, wow, talk about love at first sight as the nurse placed her in my waiting arms.

Ava shot me a glance, whimpered and let out a few tears. Admittedly, I shed a few myself in my first minutes of fatherhood.

Even though several days have passed, that initial, overwhelming joy surfaces every time I look at her.

My wife, Jaclyn, and I couldn't be happier, and, as a proud parent, I wanted to take a minute to share little Ava with all of you. 

Thank you for all the emails and social media support, the last two weeks have been an indescribable experience.

But now, it's time to get back to work. Tell me: what have I missed?
