Richard Brannan, 89, World War II Veteran, Beloved Father and Husband

Brannan is survived by many loving children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

Richard A. Brannan, 89, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 31.

Brannan was born in Akron and had resided in Cuyahoga Falls for the past 66 years. He was a member of , according to the

He retired from Firestone Tire and Rubber as a tire builder with 40 years of experience and was a retiree of ACME #10 and #12. Brannan also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Mary Louise; children, Tim, Terry, Bill, Tom, Pat, Mary Beth, Maureen, Denny, Paul and Teressa; 19 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 3, in the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, located at 1930 Front St.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 4 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1761 Second St. Cremation will follow the service, and his ashes will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
