E. Ruth Woy, 93, Former City Employee, Religious Member of the Community

Woy is survived by her daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

E. Ruth Woy, 93, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 12.

Woy was born in Clarksburg, WV, had resided in Cuyahoga Falls most of her life and graduated from Akron Central High School.

She worked in the finance department for the City of Cuyahoga Falls for over 20 years and previously in the general office for Schnabel Lumber, according to Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home.

Woy was a member of the First Christian Church of Cuyahoga Falls and a member of the Women's City Club and the Society of the Blind.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Douglas Carrier and Marsha and Terry Brady of Portage Lakes; grandchildren, Dawn Jones, Dana Shoff and David Glenny; great-grandchildren, Jason, Nick, Zack, Alex and Mitchell; sister, Lois Fanelly; and nieces, Pam and Paula.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 in The Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, located at 1930 Front St..

Friends may call beginning at 12:30 p.m. today. The interment will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, located at 70 W. Streetsboro St., Suite 201, Hudson, OH 44236.
