Charlie Walker, Retired Carpenter

He was a jack of all trades, enjoyed woodworking in retirement.

Visiting hours for Charlie Walker, 63, of Cuyahoga Falls are 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at , 1930 Front St. Military service from the Charles Faust Post of the American Legion will be at the start of calling hours at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Clifford-Shoemaker. A memorial service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at S.Y.B. Hall, 4157 Hudson Dr. in Stow. 

Mr. Walker died Friday, Aug. 31, after a long battle with heart disease. 

He was born April 14, 1949, in New Kensington, PA., to Carl and Norma Walker.

Mr. Walker enjoyed spending spare time creating memories at Angelina's Pizzeria of North Akron. He also enjoyed old movies, the history channel, the TV show American Pickers and being with the people he loved. 

Mr. Walker was a retired carpenter with more than 35 years spent primarily with Ver-Dick Builders of Stow. He was a jack of all trades: soldier, mechanic, carpenter, plumber, handyman, woodworker and pizza delivery guy among other talents. During his retirement, Mr. Walker enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Becky Walker; daughter Amy; son Josh and his wife Laura; soon to be granddaughter Sadie; Dink; sister Pam; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Norma; father Carl and brother Larry.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the , 1900 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls OH 44223. The family would like to thank the nurses doctors and staff of the Western Reserve Hospital and Hospice of Summa for all the kind care they gave to Charlie and his family.
