Michael Jackson Still Immortal in Cirque du Soleil at Quicken Loans

The king of pop Michael Jackson is alive and well in Cirque du Soleil's production

Cirque du Soleil brings the life of Michael Jackson full circle through the uniquely, amazing art of dance, music and acrobatics that is part of their signature
performance featuring the music of Michael Jackson, coupled with a
unique mastery of high tech and visual arts.

How could this show, which was at Quicken Loans Arena on Tuesday and closes tonight, be called anything else but immortal?

This troupe of talented artists take the audience through the life and times of Michael Jackson with humor and at times sadness.

With highlighted features from the Jackson five, Thriller and some of Michael Jackson’s later works, Cirque du Soleil does not disappoint in putting their unique vision to the works of this iconic artist.

The show which played to nearly 10,000 fans on Tuesdsay, had people singing along, standing up and even dancing throughout the night. This show is a must see for anyone who has been or always has been a Michael Jackson fan. The show breathes life and lets us realize how human Micheal Jackson really was.

While there were may acts throughout the two hour show that epitomized Jackson's career, the defining act of the show was not Thriller as one would be led to believe. Instead Jamie King, who wrote the show, and also has worked with Madonna, used another one of Jackson's hits, in which the choreography was
absolutely stunning.

In typical Cirque du Soleil fashion, Smooth Criminal was perhaps one of the best acts of the show, as it had many acrobats on wires, with lazers and it was neat the way they portrayed it with a 1920's theme. But the loudest applause from the
crowd came from a video of Jackson singing I'll be there.

If you are looking for something to astound and amaze, the show is worth the price of a ticket, which are still on sale for tonight's performance at 8 pm.

I saw "Cirque du Soleil " in Las Vegas and thought it was late reading a Dr. Suess book after snorting Cocain. I think I would enjoy it less if it was "dedicated" to someone I believe evidance shows was a homosexual pediphile. Pass.

I've seen five of Cirque's tent shows and two arena shows, including the Michael Jackson show at the Q on July 18th. The problem with the the MJ show is that there's not enough Cirque du Soleil and not enough Michael Jackson. I was disappointed.
