Should we try to stomp out fear and anger in our community?

When one person posts an opinion, preference, or question then what might happen?

Sometimes people, like the Nosty Sag, make a statement to diminish the poster or another commentor.  The retort can be an attack on the Nosty Sag.  And, the pattern can repeat until one person retreats.

Another option is to address the Nosty Sags in a manner that identifies how his statements reflect on our community.  Psych people call the Nosty Sags passive -aggressive.  The one thing that a passive - aggressive cannot stand is to be exposed to public scrutiny.

When dealing with a Nosty Sag know that they operate in fear and anger.
But, like all people, the Nosty Sags want to be appreciated by someone.
So, they will curry favor with people in high political positions.

But, at some point the effort to stomp out the fear and anger of a Nosty Sag becomes like swimming up the river.  We will eventally get tired and quit.  The pattern scales from the individual > community > country.

The best option of all is to focus on building trust and respect.
The process of building trust and respect includes everyone and excludes no one.  The process ... is like floating down the river.
When people see you having fun floating ... then they will want to join in.
