Nature in Its Natural State: Post 09-Riding The Endless Coastline

A friend rented a spot in Put In Bay, on South Bass Island, for her birthday. If you are not familiar, there a set of islands in Lake Erie near Sandusky that are wicked places to slow the heartbeat and chill out. And don't feel bad if you haven't been there, I had never been till last year. And as a matter of fact, I had never been to this particular spot, Put-In-Bay, the partiest of all the islands, till this jaunt.
The ten of us rented a villa and were there for 30 hours. We grilled twice, we swam all day, we chilled on the porch under a mighty sunset, we went out and danced, and in the morning, I rode my bicycle on an endless coastline. Not bad for a Tuesday, eh?!
Watch this video of me riding the hour or so it takes to circumnavigate the island. This is now one of my favorite places to take my bike (which is the only vehicle I took over on the ferry). It is like a velodrome that has small, fast, rolling hills. It has tight curves and places where water is on both sides of you. It looks like Jamaica, Georgia, New England, Margaritaville, and Mexico, all within twenty minutes of cruising.
