Nathan Steffel received an outpouring of support after posing a question on the internet: Could they help him see what his daughter would have looked like out of the hospital?

A grieving father from Ohio asked strangers if they could help him see what his daughter would have looked like had she not spent her entire life in the hospital.

Posted on Reddit, Nathan Steffel wrote, "My daughter recently passed away after a long battle in the children's hospital. Since she was in the hospital her whole life we never were abel to get a photo without all her tubes. Can someone remove the tubes from this photo?"

"I just wanted to reach out to get at least one quality picture. I was amazed how many people responded. We have many nice pictures now," Steffel told Buzzfeed.

Steffel wrote on Reddit that his daughter had a hepatic hemangioma in her liver and was on a waiting list for a transplant. She was six weeks old when she died.

The original photo of Steffel's daughter, Sophia is attached to this post along with a fantastic photoshop by Redditor funkybrewster.

"This is really amazing," Steffel wrote on Reddit. "Everyone you have made my day. All I wanted was a nice picture. What I received was a lot of love and support from a bunch of strangers. A long with great photos, drawings and paintings. Thanks Everyone!"
