Musical Horizons

“An
Evening of Jazz”

The 53rd Annual Musical Horizons will take place
Friday and Saturday, May 2nd and 3rd, 2014 at 7pm in the Cuyahoga Falls High
School Auditorium. This year's theme is "An Evening of Jazz,"
celebrating the diverse sounds in the jazz idiom.

Act One will feature songs including "Gospel John," "Deacon
Blues," "Stars Fell on Alabama," and "Got to Get You In To
My Life." Also included in Act I is Bret Zvacek's shuffle-funk chart
"Glow Green," which Grammy-award winning bassist Christian McBride
called a "grand slam" for the Gold Tones at the Tri-C Jazz Fest last
month.

For Act Two, the Gold Tones will present well-known favorites such as
"Dreamsville," "A Night in Tunisia," "Lover Man,"
and Mary Lou William's "Roll 'Em." No Musical Horizons would be
complete without "A String of Pearls." Special performers include the
CFHS Tiger Band Majorettes, twirling to the theme from “Family Guy," as
well as members of the CFHS Dance Team performing "American Patrol,"
composed by F.W. Meachum and made famous by the Glenn Miller Orchestra.

The Art Department will present the Art Show in the lobby of the Auditorium in
conjunction with this event. Please come out and support The Gold Tones at Musical
Horizons 2014. Ticket prices are:  $5 Adults / $3 Students and
Non-Resident Seniors /

FREE for Current Band Students, Pre-school &
Cuyahoga Falls Resident Seniors (with Senior Activities Card)
