Manitoba, polar bears topic of Dec. 11 historical society meeting

The Cuyahoga Falls Historical Society will hold its next meeting on Weds., Dec. 11, at the Cuyahoga Falls Library, 2015 Third St., at 7 p.m.

The speaker will be John Rodgers, who will give a slide presentation on “Manitoba, Polar Bears and More.” Highlights will include: Winnipeg, the capital and largest city in Manitoba; historic Hotel Fort Garry; the Forks Market; Oak Hammock Marsh; Sculpture Garden; the Eskimo Museum; and a trip on the tundra to see polar bears, arctic fox, arctic hare, ptarmigans, and a snowy owl.

The meeting, which will be held in the Sutliff meeting room, is free and open to the public.
