Volunteer Training

HMC Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care invite you to become part of the HMC Volunteer Program. What's required? Care and compassion, along with the belief that no one should go it alone. When you volunteer at HMC Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care, we begin by focusing on you. We take what you do best and give you a new, rewarding avenue in which to use your talents and skills

Your time is a valuable asset to our patients and families who find joy in the small gestures extended by our dedicated volunteers - reading a favorite story, baking someone a cake, playing a game of cards or bingo, sharing military stories with a fellow soldier, or simply just "being there".  The opportunities are unlimited! Imagine the joy you can provide patients and the comfort you bring to families with the gift of your time.

If you have an interest in patient care, have special talents you would like to share, or can lend a hand in an office setting, please call Marie Jakubiec at 330.722.4771.

Volunteers are especially needed in Barberton, Canal Fulton, Doylestown, Wadsworth, Rittman, Norton, Clinton, Portage Lakes. 2013 Volunteer Training beings March 5 and is held every Tuesday through April 23 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. All sessions are held at the HMC Barberton Hospice & Palliative Care office at 527 West Tuscarawas Ave., Barberton.
