Pilgrim Church’s Act-It UP! Theater Group announces auditions for its 3rd Annual Mystery Dinner Theater entitled “The Mysterious Case of the Broken Heart”. The available roles include four roles for children, two boys ages 10-12 and two girls ages 8-12; 8 women’s roles and 8 men’s roles.
The auditions will take place on Thursday, February 7, 2013, 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm; Friday, February 8th, 6:30pm – 8:30pm; and Saturday, February 9th, 2:30pm – 4:30 pm.
There is no prior preparation required. Scripts will be provided for those who are planning to audition. Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from 6:30pm until 8:30pm each week beginning February 21st, 2013. There will be two performances: Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm and on Sunday, May 5th at 5pm. If auditioning, please bring a calendar with you to the auditions to declare any conflicts.

Here’s a little bit about the story: Lynn Sable, a Southern Belle and successful Inspirational Novelist, offers a glimpse into her creative process, delivering clues to solve the mystery in a unique and charming way. She does her best to guide the guests to the correct solution to the mystery as characters from her current writing project come alive to illustrate the story. To whom does this broken heart belong? Will it ever be mended? Is there a happy ending in sight?
The 2012 Mystery Dinner Theater, The Case of Dutiful Delilah’s Deeds, played to a sold out audience. Those interested in attending this year’s performance, should mark their calendars now and watch for when tickets become available as last year’s sold out with a few weeks.
