Winter Storm Warning: Expect Freezing Rain and Snow

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Summit County.

Round two of this week's winter weather is expected to arrive around 12 a.m. The storm will move into the region with an icy-snow mix that could bring up to two inches of snow per hour from 8 a.m. through 10 a.m.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Summit County until 4 p.m. Friday. 

With snow totals predicted to reach six to 10 inches by Friday afternoon, the Cuyahoga Falls street department is planning to have all plows ready to clear the streets in full force. To start, plows will focus on the main roads including State Road, Portage Trail, Bailey Road and Hudson Drive.

Wind gusts of up to 35 mph Friday morning could cause the snow to drift and impact visibility while driving.
