Sheriff Looking for Dangerous Fugitive Rapist
The Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force is offering a reward for information which would lead to the capture of fugitive Melvin Allen.
Melvin Allen, 29, is wanted by the U.S. Marshals and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Allen is wanted for aggravated burglary and rape. Police said in October 2012, Allen broke into a Painesville women’s home and raped her.
Allen is described by authorities as being about 6-feet 1-inches tall and weighs about 205 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Police say he may be hiding somewhere in or around Painesville. He also has a previous address near the 1800 block of Torbinson Dr. in Cleveland.
