Marines Will Be Welcomed Home at Falls High

Families and community members to welcome back Akron's Marines Friday night.

Close to 60 Marines will arrive at Friday night at 6 p.m. Local Boy Scouts have been asked to line the streets from the high school off of 4th Street, across Portage Trail and along Broad Blvd. with American flags.

The Marines are members of the Weapons Company, 3rd Battalion, 25th Marine Regiment, 4th Division and are returning home after serving several months in Afghanistan, according to the Akron Beacon Journal. About 40 more Marines will arrive in town on March 31.

The school will open at 4 p.m. for families of the Marines.
