UPDATE Flooding Closes Portions of Towpath, Roads
Heavy rain overnight and into Tuesday morning forces trails and city streets to close.
3:55 p.m.- Riverview Road in Cuyahoga Falls is closed from Bath Road to Ira Road; Akron Peninsula Road is closed from Ira Road to Bolanz Road.
Sand Run is now open in the Metro Parks, Serving Summit County after flooding forced the road and access to the trails to close. The park system reports the following closures are still active due to flooding:
- Hampton Hills: the Adams Run Trail is closed.
- Firestone: Willow and Red Wing trails are closed.
8:54 a.m.- The reports flooding has forced the city to close Riverview Road at Bath and Smith Roads.

The Metro Parks Serving Summit County has announced the closure of the following portions of the Towpath Trail for flooding concerns:
- Clinton Trailhead to Stark County line (including the Clinton parking lot on North Street.)
- Botzum Trailhead to Weathervane Lane
- Portage Trail to Big Bend Trailhead (including the Portage trail underpass.)
