Flood Watch Issued for Summit County

Rain and melting snow could cause minor flooding in prone areas and along the river.

From late Sunday night into Monday evening, the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for Summit County.

Forecasters predict an inch to an inch and a quarter of rain and melting snow could cause at least minor flooding to prone areas. Flooding and high water levels near bodies of wather, including the Cuyahoga River, is possible.

The local forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies on Sunday and a chance for rain showers on Monday afternoon at around 3 p.m.
