The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls police reports dated Jan. 21-23. It does not indicate a conviction.

Scammed

On Jan. 23, a Cuyahoga Falls woman was reportedly bilked out of $503 after an unidentified con man called her at work, and convinced her to buy and activate a prepaid network card from vanillareload.com, according to a Cuyahoga Falls police report. Police are investigating.

Email death threat

A Cuyahoga Falls man received an email in which his life was threatened, according to a Jan. 22 police report. The sender also claimed a contract had been put out on the man's life. The man intends to prosecute.

Just plain creepy

A woman living in the 2000 block of Bailey Road told police an unknown stalker sent her text messages documenting what she was doing, according to a police report. One text even included a photo of the back door of where she works. The woman said similar messages were sent to her husband whom she recently separated from. The Cuyahoga Falls resident said she only wanted to document the incident, and not press charges.
