VIDEO Rockin on the River Turns 25

The festival will celebrate its anniversary by adding new vendors and giveaways.

Rockin on the River will feature more than just a fresh line-up this summer. The festival, which has become a tradition and envied by towns nearby, will celebrate 25 years along the riverfront with new local businesses added the the mix.

With higher gas prices anticipated during the upcoming summer months, Earley sees a golden opportunity for the festival to draw an even larger crowd.

“People are very concerned about their dollar,” he said. “In a down economy, events like mine do better actually do better. You can bring a family of four here, even if you have a couple of beers or a soft drink and a sandwich, that family of four can get by spending $25 to $30 most. Even a movie theater costs you more than that.”
