Kidnapping Suspect Found in Cuyahoga Falls

Anthony Phillips allegedly held a woman at gunpoint and forced her to travel to southern Ohio with him.

Anthony L. Phillips, 35, formerly of Coventry Township, was arrested Thursday in Cuyahoga Falls for allegedly kidnapping a woman on May 20.

According to a Summit County Sheriff's Office press release, Phillips, threatened, assaulted and held a woman at gunpoint. He then forced her to travel with him to southern Ohio. 

He was charged with kidnapping, menacing by stalking and telecommunication harassment. 

Phillips was found in a residence in the 400 block of Victor Avenue at 9:25 p.m. on May 30, said Cuyahoga Falls Police Lt. Steve Guldeman. 

Falls police aided sheriff's deputies in the arrest. 

Phillips is being held in Summit County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond, according to the Summit County Jail database.
