To remove sediment and iron deposits from water, and to make sure they are working properly, the city will begin to flush its hydrants June 17.
Here's what you need to know about hydrant flushing:
- They'll be flushed from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Hydrant flushing begins June 17 and is expected to be done by July 26
- Barricades and signs will alert residents and drivers of areas of hydrant flushing.
- Water may appear discolored after flushing ... allow the cold water to run until it clears up.
