Summit County Veterans Invited to June 26 Recognition Ceremony

All Summit County veterans and their families are invited to a free Veterans Recognition Ceremony on Thursday, June 26, 4 to 5:30 p.m., at the Odom Boulevard Branch Library, 600 Vernon Odom Blvd., Akron.

Council woman Margo Sommerville will be providing the welcome. A highlight of the evening will be a special ceremony during which Hospice of the Western Reserve will recognize veterans from all branches of the U.S. military with the individual “pinning” of each veteran in attendance. Each veteran will be recognized and thanked for his or her service to the country, according to event officials. Light refreshments will be served. Advance registration is required by June 20.
