5 Things You Should Know About the Week Ahead in Cuyahoga Falls

Here are some of the events and happenings around town this week, you might not want to miss.

1. "Death Cafe" coming to The Root Cafe July 25 at 6 p.m. According to organizers, the concept of a Death Cafe is to provide people of all ages with a place to explore, explain and examine death's aspects from the biological realities to spiritual realms.

2. Cuyahoga Falls Ward 4 precinct committee members will appoint a new council member to replace  former councilman Mark Ihasz. The meeting will be held at Rocco’s party room, located at 1053 Portage Trail at 4:30 p.m. on July 24. 

3. Rockin' on the River returns this weekend. "The Waiting" a Tom Petty tribute band will play this Friday, July 26 at Falls River Square. Doors open at 5 p.m., and parking and admission are free. For more on the band, refer to rockinontheriver.com.

4. "Huge garage sale" to be held July 25 at 9 p.m. at 1491 Highbridge Rd. Step 2 Swingset, men's, women's and children's clothing, shoes, electronics, toys and more will be up for sale. 

5. The second half of the 2012 real estate tax bills were mailed out at the end of June and the Summit County Fiscal Office is offering five ways to pay the bill, which is due July 26.
