Just Eating? Practicing Our Faith at the Table
What does it mean to break bread together? For the early Christians, breaking bread meant a meal that fed both body and spirit. The shared meal included shared worship.
Come and join us for a five week series, every Wednesday during the season of Lent, Feb. 20 - March 20, 6:30 - 7:45, as we explore how our food choices affect our health, our earth, others, and how we use food to create relationships with friends and family.
...
On Feb. 20 you are invited to bring a colorful food to share as a side dish, salad or dessert. Try to bring your offering in it's most natural state. That is, the least "processed" the food, the better. Our goal is to eat the rainbow!
Wednesday, March 6 – Food & The Environment: Earth to People...Hello?
~ 6:30 pm Shared Meal 100 mile Rule – bring a dish to share from ingredients within 100 miles from your location. Focus on the least processed foods and their packaging.
Wednesday, March 13 - Creating Community with Food: Feast & Celebration
~ 6:30 pm Shared Meal Jesus is coming to dinner! What will you serve? Put your best “hospitality” act together and bring a dish to share.
Wednesday, March 20 - Discerning God's Call: So What? Now What?
~ 6:30 pm Shared Meal A simple meal of soup and bread. Bring a small pot of your favorite soup to share.
