 39. The meeting\, which is free and open to the public\, will be held at
  7 p.m. in the Sutliff meeting room at the Cuyahoga Falls Library\, 2015
  Third St.\nSpeakers for the event will be Michele Colopy\, author of Li
 ving History\, Dying Art: The History of Glendale Cemetery\, and Bill Wi
 lkerson\, former City of Akron Engineer/project manager\, during a disas
 ter that struck the cemetery in 1977.\nAccording to Colopy\, &ldquo\;Cem
 eteries are central to a community as early parks\, safe places for the 
 departed\, and when &ldquo\;disaster&rdquo\; strikes\, the community con
 nection becomes all-important. Historic and beautiful Glendale Cemetery 
 tells the story of a community. The memorial art symbolizes\, love\, joy
 \, sadness and sacrifice.&rdquo\;\nGlendale Cemetery is noted for its ro
 lling hills\, stunning monuments and impressive mausoleums &ndash\; many
  of which are modeled after early Greek and Roman temples or Gothic chur
 ches. The cemetery also features several structures that are listed on t
 he National Register of Historic Places &ndash\; including a Civil War M
 emorial Chapel that is considered one of the most outstanding examples i
 n the nation.
