Theft: A Staples employee called Cuyahoga Falls police just before 8:00 p.m. May 14 and reported a man had taken a pair of scissors and a phone charger, together worth $25.98, from the office supply store on Howe Avenue without paying for the items. A woman living on the 1600 block of Phelps Avenue told police a woman approached her around 6 p.m. May 15, while she was outside walking her dog. A man was assaulted Thursday by up to 15 people who surrounded him and took turns punching and kicking him at Oak Park. The man told Cuyahoga Falls police that after he ran to his car, the group kicked the vehicle, broke both rear-view mirrors and climbed onto the hood to further threaten him. The man's left ankle, left eye and both forearms were injured. Damage to the car is estimated at $500. A woman called Cuyahoga Falls police at about 10 p.m. March 26 to report her brother-in-law was threatening her and her son with a firearm.  When officers arrived at the apartment, in the 4300 block of Winter Parkway, Gerald Davis, 43, told police he had been drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana while handling the gun. Davis was arrested and charged with inducing panic, aggravated menacing, drug abuse and operating a weapon while under the influence. A resident of the 3000 block of Timber Brook Drive told Cuyahoga Falls Police March 23 that between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. on March 18, her credit card numbers were used online to purchase a computer without her consent. The unknown identity thief spent nearly $250 on the victim’s credit card. A similar incident occurred just three days later. A woman living on the 3000 block of Prange Drive told police early March 26 that her bank debit cards were used to make cash withdrawals of more than $400 without her knowledge. Cuyahoga Falls Police arrested Richard Prior, of 12th Street, on the corner of 14th Street and Portage Trail March 16 on a charge of driving under the influence and use of weapons with alcohol. Officers found a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun in his glove box.   Theft: Richard Camp was arrested March 19 after the manager of a Target store  at 449 Howe Ave  told police that Camp tried to leave the store with items totaling $86 in his pockets without paying. Items included a GPS navigation device, dog bark deterrent device and batteries.   Akron resident Aaron R.
