Ready for some fresh produce in the Cuyahoga Valley? Szalay's is gearing up to open for the season.
On its website, Szalay's Farm announced it will open on June 7. The market at 4563 Riverview Rd. will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until Halloween. The market is a staple market and destination in the area. It has been open for 81 years and has always specialized in growing sweet corn.

The developers met the April 16 deadline to submit plans and they will be reviewed next week.

Capital Care Network of Cuyahoga Falls can appeal the Ohio Department of Health's decision, reports our news partner at WEWS Channel 5.
A Northeast Ohio abortion provider has closed after failing a state health and safety inspection. The Ohio Department of Health ordered abortion provider Capital Care Network of Cuyahoga Falls to stop operations in an April 16 letter and says it soon will revoke the clinic's license, our news partner at WEWS Channel 5 reports The clinic can appeal the order but has shuttered its doors. One of its owners did not immediately return an email seeking comment Wednesday. The health department says inspectors found numerous violations during a Feb. 21 inspection, including undertrained staff, failure to maintain a safe and sanitary environment and failure to maintain patient documentation. The local deli was shuttered after one year.
It's time to say so long to Diamond Deli. Last January, it seemed like a good move when the popular, Akron-based sandwich shop opened a second location at 2202 Front St. Unfortunately, remote parking, limited hours and a lack of seating played into the deli's recent closing. The city had spoken to owner Chuck Magilavy about expanding to provide seating, but the talks never materialized, Cuyahoga Falls Deputy Development Director Jennifer Syx said. "We will miss them but wish them the best," said Syx. But, not to worry, Diamond fans can still enjoy the deli's signature corned beef and matzoh ball soup at the Akron shop, located at 378 S. Main St.
