Things are coming together for the "Cuyahoga Falls Neighborhood Excellence Initiative"
Things are coming along for the Cuyahoga Falls Neighborhood Excellence Initiative. I met with the Mayor Robart yesterday and shared this with him. He is going to also share it with Chief Pozza.
I meet tomorrow again with City Council Rep's Jeff Iula, Vince Rubino and Don Walters. We are going to start having these meetings in early March. The meetings are going to be done ward by ward. I have received so much positive feedback and people willing to help out with this. I have always been proud to say I am from Cuyahoga Falls and I know you all are too.

Hi Heather,
With respect to your new leadership role, please allow me to comment on how I think that you might work smarter and not harder.
As you add and invite new members into your contact list (for the people who want to be informed), please do not be disappointed when you ask them to become involved.
If you get about 100 members in your contact list then you will have 99 relationships to involve.
If you get 150 members involved then give yourself a star.
As near as I know, Patch will help you keep about 30,000 people in our community informed. Informed means involved to the point where they will ask useful questions and volunteer useful answers.
But, I am not aware of any tools in Patch that will enable you to provide the needed leadership for the 150 members of our community who want to be involved.
Perhaps, someone else can add to our know-how on this question.
I know for sure that the free Google tools will handle the requirement to lead 150 to 50,000 members, managers, and co-owners of multiple websites and circles (groups).
I do not use Facebook. So, no comment.
Personally, I think Facebook's long-term business model is less than sustainable.

We plan on starting the meetings on March 13th with Ward 1. I have used Facebook for many things regarding community things and have been successful with it. I helped start the Rockin' on The River page and currently they have close to 17,000 fans. The new page I did for this which I started 1 week ago has 113. We plan on having articles in the papers and on here to keep everyone informed. Thank you for the on going suggestions. We are going to start a e-mail contact list and get contact information at all the ward meetings.
Thanks for all the suggestions, I will look into the Google tools.
