Drunk Woman Suffers Head Injury After Flipping Stolen Car

When mulling over whether to steal a car, knowing how to drive should factor into the decision.

On Sept. 27 at 1:01 a.m., a 22-year-old woman allegedly stole her aunt’s 2000 Pontiac Sunfire, flipped it on its roof and sustained a head injury in the process, according to Cuyahoga Falls Police radio dispatches.

Officers responded to the crash at 20th Street and Falls Avenue and caught up with the young woman at the Red Fox Sports Pub & Grille. It appears she wandered into the local bar immediately following the crash, called the police and confessed to the crime. 

According to the police report, she was taken to Summa Western Reserve Hospital for treatment.

The woman was then charged with theft of a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, after her aunt agreed to prosecute.

She's being held in Summit County Jail.
