Woman Reports Gunpoint Home Invasion
The following was obtained from Cuyahoga Falls Police reports dated Nov. 21-25. It does not indicate a conviction.
Heroin stop
During a routine traffic stop on Howe Avenue, Cuyahoga Falls Police searched a woman's car and found spoons and hypodermic needles that were allegedly used to prepare and inject heroin. The 26-year-old woman, from Orrville, Ohio, was arrested and charged with drug abuse instruments and drug paraphernalia, both misdemeanors.
Stolen handgun
On Nov. 24, a man reported a handgun was stolen from his unlocked truck parked in his driveway. The crime occurred in the 1800 block of Oneida Avenue. Total loss: $600.
Gunpoint home invasion
On Nov. 21 at 4:43 a.m., a burglar reportedly broke into a woman's home, located in the 2200 block of Pinebrook Trail. She caught the man pilfering through her bedroom and confronted him, according to a Cuyahoga Falls Police report. She fought with the burglar until he pulled a handgun and pointed it at her and others who were staying at her residence. He then fled. Police are investigating.
