WATCH: Steam Locomotive Roars Through Cuyahoga Valley

The locomotive, weighing in at 234,000 pounds, steamed through Cuyahoga Valley National Park last weekend and be heard from miles around.

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad welcomed the Canadian 4-6-2 No. 1293 steam-powered locomotive on Saturday, Sept. 8.

The locomotive, brought to the Cuyahoga Valley by the generosity of the Age of Steam Roundhouse, was last here in 2008, according to cvsr.com.

The Canadian Locomotive Company, Ltd., built this class G-5 locomotive in June 1948. The engine weighs 234,000 lbs.
